A few months ago I bought a $6 Kindle Fire game for my son, but I couldn’t get it to download.
I contacted my “tech support team”, aka my millennial wife, who figured out the game wasn’t supported by our Kindle Fire version.
At this point, most people would call/email Amazon and ask for their money back. But I decided to take things a few steps further and demand to be compensated for my time as well.
A few minutes later, they emailed me a $100 gift card — almost 20x the price of the original game!
Some people think it’s second nature for me to pull stunts like this. But I wasn’t born knowing how to value my time, be assertive, negotiate, and charge what I’m worth.
Check out Exhibit A:
But take a look at how different things were just a year later:
Charging more for your time is something that anyone can learn.
This week, I’m teaming up with Upwork to show you how you can do it, too, in a brand new webinar called “Skyrocket Your Rates”.
You can sign up here. (It’s free but there’s limited space available. First come, first served.)
Be forewarned, this isn’t going to be some fluffy piece about “channeling financial abundance” or other vague weirdness. You’ll learn specific, proven tactics that have worked for me (and many others) for years, including:
- My “billionaire secret” for charging (and getting) more than your competitors
- How to write winning proposals as the highest bidder — even if there’s lots of competition
- My “Rock Climbing Method” for doubling your rate without risk
- And much more
There will even be a few special surprises I can’t discuss yet. I want you to charge what you’re worth, and I’m pulling out all the stops to help you do it. But you need to take the next step.
Hope to see you there.
PS Last time I did a webinar with Upwork, we maxed out the guest capacity of 1,000 viewers. We’re expecting this one to fill up very quickly too, so if you want to join, please register now.
